The flight path crosses the Atlantic northwestward from the Azores toward mainland Portugal. At cruise altitude (around 25,000 feet), you'll be over open ocean for most of the journey with no significant landmarks visible. As you approach the Portuguese coast near Aveiro, the Iberian Peninsula's coastal plains and the Mondego River estuary become visible on the left side. The flight then follows the coast northward toward Porto, with the Atlantic shoreline and inland hills becoming increasingly prominent in the final 20 minutes of descent.
