Sit on the Right side of the plane for the best views on flights from Montreal to Zurich. While the left side offers a good Montreal departure view, the right side delivers the more dramatic payoff on arrival with the Swiss Alps on the horizon and Lake Zurich below during descent. When landing at Zurich (ZRH), sit on the Right side for the best views. ZRH's primary landing approach on runway 14 brings aircraft in from the northwest on a southeast heading. The right side faces southwest toward the Alps, giving a sustained view of the Bernese Alps and the Glarus Alps as the aircraft descends over the Swiss Mittelland. Lake Zurich appears on the right side during final approach. Notable sights include: Lake Zurich stretching southeast toward the Alps, Glarus Alps and Säntis massif to the southeast, Zurich city center and the Limmat River, Swiss Mittelland farmland patchwork.
