Notable sights include: Cordillera Central eastern face (steep, forested slopes), Bogota Savanna (flat high-altitude plain at ~2,600 m), Bogota city grid and urban sprawl, Monserrate peak (visible above the city on clear days).

The flight path crosses the Cordillera Central's highest passes (around 13,000–14,000 feet). At cruise altitude (typically 18,000–22,000 feet for this short route), you'll see the spine of the Central Range with its forested ridges and occasional clearings. The Cauca River valley lies to the west (left) and the Magdalena River valley to the east (right) at various points along the route.
