Sit on the Left side of the plane for the best views on flights from Cairns to Singapore. Left side wins at both ends of the flight. When landing at Singapore Changi (SIN), sit on the Left side for the best views. Changi typically uses runways 02L/02R or 20L/20R. On approach from the north over the Strait of Malacca or Johor Strait, a left seat gives views over the Singapore Strait, Sentosa Island, and the southern port anchorages. The dense urban core of Singapore and the container port at Tanjong Pagar are clearly visible on the left during final approach. Notable sights include: Singapore container port (one of the world's busiest, unmistakable from the air), Sentosa Island and its causeway, Johor Strait and southern Malaysia beyond, Singapore city skyline including the Marina Bay reclaimed land.
