On approach into DEN with southbound landing traffic (17-series runways common under prevailing south winds), the Front Range and Rocky Mountain foothills sit to the west, which places them on the right side of the cabin during final descent. Passengers get a close, dramatic mountain backdrop just before touchdown on the high plains. Notable sights include: Front Range foothills, Longs Peak area, South Platte River valley, high plains grassland.
