The Oquirrh Mountains and the lake's southern arm are also clearly visible. Left side faces the Wasatch Range which is dramatic but you're flying parallel to it rather than looking across it. Notable sights include: Great Salt Lake with its distinct color banding from algae, Antelope Island as a dark landmass within the lake, Oquirrh Mountains forming the western valley wall, the Salt Lake Valley urban grid below.
